They can also find plenty of places in Muswell Hill to relax over a cup of coffee.
• Watch a film in Muswell Hill's 3 screen Odeon Cinema or take a short bus ride to the Phoenix- the oldest purpose-built cinema in the UK.
• Dance the night away at one of Muswell Hill's two night clubs with cheap drink offers and music to suit all tastes.

What Else Can Students do in Muswell Hill?

• Go shopping. Students can buy everything in Muswell Hill from food to clothes and gifts. Many of the shops are unusual although there are some big names like Marks and Spencer and Sainsburys supermarket.

• Students can also shop in Wood Green, which has a small indoor shopping centre (Shopping City) and a high street with branches of Marks & Spencer, Wallis, BHS and other well known shops, as well as some bargain shops selling inexpensive but very fashionable clothes.

• Brent Cross (about 20 minutes by bus from Muswell Hill) is one of London's largest indoor shopping centres with two famous department stores, many fashion and shoe shops as well as bookshops, jewellers and sports shops. Here students can really shop until they drop (into one of the many cafes).

• Camden Town with its famous shops and markets is also only a short bus ride from Muswell Hill. This is very much a student and young person's part of London with up to the minute fashion, inexpensive jewellery, amazing shoes and leather wear, CDs, antiques, and much more. And when they're bored with shopping, they can relax with a walk along the Regent's Canal which goes through the middle of London Zoo and past many beautiful houses

• Wander around Muswell Hill's many parks and open spaces. The largest park in Muswell Hill (and one of the biggest in London) is Alexandra Park. This is situated 5 minutes walk from the school. From Alexandra Park there are wonderful views across London and students can even go rowing on the boating lake. Near Muswell Hill is Kenwood House; Waterlow Park, near Highgate, is one of the prettiest parks in London, and Lauderdale House, at the entrance to the park, was the home of Nell Gwynn, one of King Charles II's mistresses

Traveling to and from Muswell Hill

It is very easy to travel to Muswell Hill and the school from all the major airports and central Muswell Hill is in North London and is located in Zone 3 of the underground system, about 25 minutes from the centre.

When students first arrive in London, they can have an airport transfer (taxi) to take them to their accommodation.

There are three Underground stations near Muswell Hill and at Alexandra Palace Station students can catch the overground railway line directly into the City of London (the financial district of London).

There are also many buses which connect Muswell Hill with central and northern London. These include the 134 service from Muswell Hill to Tottenham Court Road, which runs every 15 minutes 24 hours per day.
