Courses of special interest can be added to the Intensive Plus course. These courses are of one or four weeks' duration, and consist of four individual classes per week.

Phonetics - 4 sessions per week, all levels     1 week:  € 180;   4 weeks:  € 720

This consolidates and expands on basic phonetic skills and focuses on reducing any pronunciation problems. Practical exercises will continuously improve pronunciation and intonation and, at the same time,  will improve listening and speaking skills.

Communication Skills - 4 sessions per week, minimum level A1

1 week:  € 180;   4 weeks:  € 720

The focal point of this module is to increase spoken communication skills in every day and business situations, and evoke a high level of classroom participation. Students will learn how to express what they want to say and how to react accordingly to what others have said, e.g. to complain, to ask for help, or to deal with conflict. They will be able to take a more active part in conversations, or to explain graphs and statistics at a conference more effectively. The aims of all the exercises are to break down any possible language barriers, widen choice of language, and in this way to create a more confident impression when speaking German. In this course it is not important whether the student needs German for every day conversations, for business, or for preparing to study.

Preparation for telc Certificate Examinations - 6 individual sessions per week

 1 week:  € 180;   4 weeks:  € 720

These courses offer preparatory modules for participants, who would like to train for the The European Language Certificates examinations at B1, B2 and C1 levels. They familiarise students with the examination format and work through authentic test papers. Advice is given on what to pay particular attention to on certain tasks, how to avoid making typical mistakes, and develop strategies on how to achieve the best possible results. Students will practice typical examples from the oral examination, e.g. introducing oneself, or commenting on a diagram.
