This school, offering a very high standard of Spanish language course, occupies a beautiful building in the heart of Barcelona. The difference between this and any other Spanish language school in the city is that it has on-site accommodation. Also, on the roof of the school residence, there are extensive sun terraces - very popular with students on sunny afternoons after lessons, and at the weekend.

The school could hardly be better located, lying just off Gran Via, right in the centre of Barcelona. Paseo de Gracia and Plaza Cataluña are just 10 minutes' walk away. Gaudi's famous Casa Batlló and La Pedrera are also within easy walking distance. When you walk out of the school, you are in the very heart of Barcelona, near all the best shops and restaurants, with many of the most important places of interest all around you.

Accommodation is booked from the Sunday before the course starts to the Saturday after it finishes. Additional nights, at extra cost, may be available.

Host family - Staying with a Spanish host family is the best option for students who wish to learn as much Spanish as possible in the time available to them. This is because if you choose to stay with a Spanish host family you will be totally immersed in the Spanish language, with lots of opportunities to practise in the family the Spanish that you learn in class.  Though Catalan is spoken by many people in Barcelona, all our families will speak only standard Castilian Spanish to our students.  If for any reason you are unhappy in your host family, you will be moved, without question.

Standard Residence - A student residence is a good option if you wish to stay with students, but do not want to stay in a host family and would prefer not to be in a shared apartment.

On-site Superior Residence - For students who are looking for high standard student accommodation, with meals, situated in the same building as the school, in the very centre of Barcelona, then the On-site Superior Residence is a good choice.

• The residence is located on the floors above the school, so to go to school each day, students simply go down the stairs, or use the lift!
• There is FREE Wi-Fi internet access in every room of the residence.
• All the students in the residence are also studying Spanish at the school.  As well as accommodation, residents receive 2 meals a day, or just bed and breakfast, depending on their choice.
• In the on-site superior residence, students can choose to say in single rooms, twin rooms (two beds), or in twin rooms for sole use.  Students who choose a twin room can share the room with a friend, or else the school can place another student in the room.
• There are two bathrooms for every three rooms in the student residence. There are also living areas, with flat screen TVs.
• Rooms are also available with private bathrooms and many have balconies There are sun terraces on top of the residence, for students to use in their leisure time.

Standard Shared Apartments - Many students choose to stay in Standard Self-Catering Apartments. Each apartment has a kitchen, bathroom, living room and 3 or 4 bedrooms. Most apartments also have balconies. Typically, 4 to 6 people live in each apartment, normally a mixture of international students and Spaniards. A shared student apartment is an excellent choice for those who wish to cook for themselves and enjoy the experience of sharing an apartment. This type of accommodation gives complete independence and is also a great way to meet people and make friends.

Though the Standard Self-Catering Apartments do not offer as high a standard of comfort as the On-Site Superior Apartments, they do offer a good standard of accommodation. They all have a fully-equipped kitchen, including washing machine, bathroom and living room, with TV. They are a very popular choice with students.

However, if it is important to be sure that the apartment will be really close to the school, in the centre of Barcelona, then choose to stay in an On-site Superior Apartment.  These apartments are located above the school, in the same building as the school. They have flat-screen TVs, two bathrooms in each apartment, and rooms are available with private bathrooms. The On-site Superior Apartments offer a higher level of comfort than the Standard Self-Catering Apartments and have FREE Wi-Fi Internet access in all rooms. There are also large roof top sun terraces on top of the building for students to use in their leisure time, for sunbathing, socializing and making friends.

Private Studios - Accommodation can be arranged in private studio apartments, for students who do not wish to share an apartment with other students, and who do not want to stay in a host family.

• These studio apartments are fully-equipped, with kitchenette, private bathroom, TV and washing machine. They provide private, high standard self-catering accommodation for one or two people, but are expensive.
• Each studio apartment generally has one bed, sometimes two. A few studio apartments have a double bed.
• The studio apartments are in central Barcelona, located either within walking distance of the school, or else at a maximum of 20 minutes by public transport.

Each studio apartment is different and varies in price. Therefore, it is not possible to give an exact price for a studio apartment without knowing the dates of the proposed course.  Please let us know whether you would like a studio apartment for 1 or 2 people and we will tell you which studio apartments are available and the price for these apartments. Please note that studio apartments are expensive, normally charged by the day and cost a similar amount per day to staying in a good standard hotel.
