Course Details
There is nowhere else besides the capital Berlin where you can get so close to German history. This additional program portrays the character of the 20th century: you will be immersed in the glamour of the Swinging Twenties and you will encounter evidence of the Nazi dictatorship, as well as the division and re-unification of Germany. You will visit places of remembrance such as the legendary Checkpoint Charlie and the Berlin Wall memorial place. In the permanent exhibition of The Story of Berlin you will experience contemporary history of the 20th century in an interactive and exciting way. The programme is rounded off with a visit to the GDR Museum, where you gain an insight into the former way of life in the other part of Germany.
Programme Characteristics
- 2 excursions a week in Berlin with language and thematical preparation beforehand
- 6 hours a week, bookable on a weekly basis
